    Course Details

    Product number: PASMA_COM_E|SW10315

PASMA Combined Low-Level Access and Towers for Users will equip you with the specialist knowledge you need to work safely with mobile access towers and low-level access equipment such as podiums.

Completing the e-learning alone does not qualify you for a PASMA card; Delegates can complete the theory session while they’re safe at home and book their practical session in further down the line.

This minimises face-to-face contact between instructors and delegates and also means you can skip the morning in the classroom and go straight to the assessment and practical.

The e-learning can be done from home using a phone, tablet or desktop computer on any modern internet browser. It consists of a series of videos and knowledge checks the delegate can work through at their own pace. It is delivered by an experienced instructor and covers everything they’d normally learn in a classroom environment.

At the end of the course there’s a quick form to complete. Then, they receive a copy of their online training verification certificate. This needs to be brought with them to our training centre – the form can either be printed or shown using their phone.

Once they have completed the e-learning, they must also complete the theory test and practical assessment at one of our HSS Training PASMA-Approved centres to obtain a PASMA Card.

To take advantage of this, please follow the below steps:
    1. Get in touch with us on 03457 66 77 99 or click below to book - at this time you will be charged the full course cost.
    2. Within 24 hours the delegate will receive an email from PASMA asking you to verify your email address. When they do, PASMA send another email to confirm they’ve been booked on the course and they must complete the online theory session.
    3. Complete the theory e-learning module which can be done anytime, anywhere and on any device, at a pace which suits the individual delegate. (Delegates can watch and re-watch the theory sessions as often as they like, right up until they’ve done the practical session).
    4. Once they have completed the e-learning and successfully passed, please contact us again to book your practical training at one of our PASMA-approved centres - to do this you will need your unique reference number which will be shown on your ‘online training verification certificate’ generated at the end of your e-learning. Delegates are required to attend an HSS Training PASMA-approved training centre within 90 days of completing the e-learning module to sit their theory exam and undertake practical training and assessment.
    5. They will need to bring a copy of your ‘online training verification certificate’ to the course for the trainer to verify, without this entry will be refused.
    6. Upon entry to the course, the delegate will be asked to complete an open book multiple choice questionnaire which is based on the knowledge gained from the e-learning, this will be followed by a practical training and assessment session lasting up to 4 hours, however this is dependent upon knowledge and experience of using Towers.

Those who need to erect, dismantle and inspect mobile access towers and low level access equipment safely.

Since the assembly and use of mobile towers can be physically demanding, users should be physically fit, in good health and should, generally, not have problems with eyesight or hearing, heart disease, high blood pressure, epilepsy, fear of heights / vertigo, giddiness / difficulty with balance, impaired limb function, alcohol or drug dependence or psychiatric illness.

PASMA - Combi - Mobile Access Towers and Low Level Access (E-Learning) Course FAQs.

    About PASMA

    Q1. What is PASMA training?
Mobile Access towers are portable, prefabricated structures used to safely work at height. PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers' and Manufacturers Association) provides nationally accredited training for mobile access towers. PASMA training aims to help delegates understand safe assembly, use and inspection of these towers, supporting compliance with industry health and safety requirements.
    _________________________________________________________________________________

Q2. What is the PASMA Combined course?
The one-day PASMA combined course aims to teach delegates how to safely assemble, use, inspect, move and dismantle both mobile access towers and low-level access units. It combines both theory and hands-on practical training, aiming to equip you to work safely and confidently at height, whether using podium steps, folding towers, or standard mobile towers.
    _________________________________________________________________________________

Q3. What is the PASMA e-learning module?
The e-learning theory module covers the theory component of the PASMA - Combi - Mobile Access Tower and Low Level Access for Users Course, including key safety principles, legislation, risk management and best practices. You must successfully complete it before attending the practical session.

Q4. Is PASMA a legal requirement?
Under the Work at Height Regulations, employers have a legal responsibility to ensure delegates who assemble or use standard scaffold towers and low level access equipment are properly trained and compliant. PASMA certification is widely recognised as the industry standard for demonstrating this compliance and is often a mandatory requirement on construction sites.
    _________________________________________________________________________________

Q5. Is PASMA training valid internationally?
PASMA certification is UK-based and widely recognised across Europe. However, some countries may require additional country-specific training. Please refer to the PASMA website for additional guidance.
