    • Access controllers:- Standalone and Networked (Single/Multi Door) 
    • Single, dual and multi factor authorisation 
    • Cable types and their application 
    • Maintenance agreements – preventative and corrective

    • Overview of access control risk assessments, site surveys and system design

    Q5. Is this a recognised qualification? 
    Yes. Successful delegates will receive a BTEC Level 3 Award, a nationally recognised qualification that demonstrates your skills and knowledge in intruder alarm installation.

    Delegates are assessed continuously through practical and/or written tasks and trainer evaluations to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to work confidently with access control systems.

    Q7. What equipment or materials do I need to bring? 
    Delegates must wear appropriate clothing and PPE, including safety boots, a hard hat (preferably with a chin strap), a hi-vis vest or jacket, eye protection, protective gloves, long sleeves and trousers (shorts are not permitted). If you need assistance arranging PPE, please call 0345 605 0006. Full details on PPE requirements will also be provided once your booking is confirmed.
