    This remote learning and examination option for the IOSH Working Safely course has been created to allow delegates to gain and develop the required knowledge outside of the classroom.

    Microsoft Teams MUST be installed beforehand to ensure you can participate successfully.

    The training and examination for this course will be delivered remotely via Microsoft Teams, but will follow the same curriculum as the classroom IOSH Working Safely course and the same standard of training will be delivered, meeting all Scheme Rules.

    Working Safely is for people at any level, in any sector, needing a knowledge of the essentials of health and safety.

    Virtual Classroom

    This course will be delivered via video conferencing using Microsoft Teams Virtual Classroom. This allows two-way communication, ensuring the course is interactive with delegates having the opportunity to ask questions. Each delegate in attendance must have a webcam and microphone, to provide evidence of identity and the ability to answer all examination questions.       • For a better experience with video calls and online meetings, we recommend using a computer that has a 2.0 GHz processor and 4.0 GB RAM (or higher)

    Delegates are required to complete the full day (7.5 hours) to be eligible for certification.

    The trainer will conduct an online exam with all delegates via video communication on Microsoft Teams. The trainer will read out the questions and answers, and accurately record the delegates chosen answer.  The delegate must be visible via the video at all times.

    Following the completion of the course there will be a 2-4 week lead time for certificates to be despatched to delegates. There is no recourse for a Statement in Lieu during this lead time due to the requirement for IOSH to independently grade each assessment paper.

    The process following course completion is as follows:

    1. Delegates complete an assignment at the end of the course
    2. Trainer marks the assignments within a 2 week deadline
    3. Once marked, results are submitted to IOSH
    4. Certificates are received from IOSH and are forwarded on to the delegate
